Chrome is one of the basic elements of metallurgy, chemistry and refractory industry. It is known that more than 90% of the chromite ore manufactured in the world is used in ferrochromium production in metallurgy industry and about 90% of the ferrochromium is used in stainless steel industry. In brief, major part of chromite ore (about 85%) is used to manufacture stainless steel.

Chrome provides steel hardness, fracture and impact resistance and protection against oxidation. In this regard, various alloys of chrome are used in weapon industry. Due to anti-corrosion attributes, chrome chemicals are used widely in aircraft and shipbuilding industry; in manufacture of sodium bichromate, chromic acid and paint raw materials in chemistry industry and consumed in metal coating, tannery, paint materials (pigment), ceramics, polishing agents, catalysts, paints, organic synthetics, canning agents, water treatments, drilling mud, etc.

Chrome metal is consumed in high performance alloys, Al, Ti, Cu alloys and alloys resistant to heat and electricity. Superalloys of chrome are employed in the manufacture of turbine engines resistant to high temperatures.

As a manufacturer and supplier of various parts and concentrated chrome ore within the range of 30-50% Cr grade, MERPA performs sales directly from its stocks. The demands are met in accordance with the up-to-date stocks and production states.

Overseas sales are performed in containers of 20 inches. The analysis of ores subject to sales are performed by accredited laboratories in accordance with the international standards.
